I am looking for a cheap but good international phone calling card that I can buy online. And have it emailed to a friend in India so he can call me in the usa. ASAP. Can someone give me an answer?

Question by CLEVE: Where to buy international phone cards?
This girl I know is traveling to Spain and Greece for the rest of the summer and I want to buy her some phone cards so that she can call home (USA). Just wondering, what’s the best place to find them?

Most phone cards that you buy in stores will work for international calls, but they’re expensive. If you decide to buy them at Wal-Mart or wherever, be sure you read the back of the sleeve for the rates because it will usually take 4-9 minutes (US calling minutes) for every one minute of international calling. That easily comes out to 20 cents or more per minute for international calls.

I’ve seen websites where you can get them mush cheaper. One is listed below, but I can’t remember right now what the others were. I’ll post more here later if I can find them.

Question by recycle b: Inexpensive ( cheap) calling card from USA to Germany and Germany to USA?
I have a friend who lives in Germany and I would like to call her mobile phone. I would like to get a good calling card that is inexpensive for USA to call a Germany mobile phone. I would like one minute rounding and no other fees at all other than the per minute rate. Also, I would like my friend to get a calling card in Germany where she could call my landline phone for inexpensive rates. Also, there should be just per minute rates with no extra fees and charges. Ideally, if you have personal experience either calling Germany or calling the USA from Germany I would like to hear your experiences with the calling card. I have checked out a bunch this morning- and many of them advertise a low minute rate- and then when I read the small print- there are all these add ons.

I would check out http://xxx800.com and just get a local or toll free telephone number with them.

They were offering free international calling to send + recieve.

Phone rates are super now adays. They charge less than $ 20 a month depending on your plan. IF you get a local number just let your German friend call that for FREE! or Give the Toll Free number out and just pay around 2CENTS per min.

Way cheaper than a calling plan and definitely more convenient. My daughter has them and she just forwards it to her cell phone. I found out when I grounded her from skipping school that she forwarded the number to her friends phone who snuck and gave her one. hahaha kids now adays…

I checked out the site and was pretty impressed though that my husband uses them now for our local business.

In germany they call the USA for less than 5 cents they use coupon codes.

Question by querry101: International calling using prepaid card?
As of the moment, I am in the U.S. I want to call someone in the Philippines. My phone carrier is T-Mobile and I have the 1000 mins. plan. Question is, if i use a prepaid card, will it show in the bill? Will there be any additional fees?

I noticed you used the phrase “As of the moment..” You are a real Filipino. Anyways, if you will use a prepaid card then the charge or minutes may not appear on your bill, but ask this question first, does your plan is also in prepaid? Or does your plan allows you to use prepaid cards? Contact your carrier though.
