i want to get a calling card from the US to the UK… and it would be FROM a cell phone TO a cell phone… does that make any difference? Are landlines less expensive for more minutes? where should i get cell phone to cell phone international calling cards? Thank you everyone!

Calling to a cellphone will be more expensive than calling a land line. But calling card is quite cheap.

Calling from USA cellphone to UK cellphone, the best rate is 11.9 cents / min with maintenance fee, or 13.5 cents / min without maintenance fee.

Question by catwmn97707: Hi I need to know of a cheap calling card that my son can use to call home from Iraq.?
I used an AT&T card with 200 min from walmart and they charge 17 to 1 so for every 1 mins he used he was charged 17 mins.

Im just asking because i have no idea, and every time i call the verizon people the line is busy 0.o So if i buy a phone from ebay or something can i program it to be a prepaid phone (on the prepaid cards) instead of a plan?

1) It must be a verizon phone (or can be converted to Verizon service)

2) Not all Verizon phones can be used on prepaid plan
