When I call to another country, it gonna be so expensive but when i use international phone cards, it’s much cheaper. why?

The Telco’s have had a monopoly on long distance phone calling for so many years, they know they can get away with charging excessively high LD rates.

Phone card (calling card) services can provide very cheap rates because they typically use VoIP as the medium over which the calls are routed. Now days VoIP is the cheapest way to route calls because it typically uses the Internet and can by-pass the incumbent monopoly carriers.

Because of the pressures of VoIP and calling card services that use VoIP as the carrier backbone for call routing, the Telco’s are being pressured to provide lower calling costs.

It’s about time we the people have an cheaper alternate to long distance phone calling….. thanks to VoIP.

You can get it right online. It’s a web exclusive at at their website. It’s $ 9.99. You probably need a credit or debit card though.
